Located in St. Louis and originally built in 1908, the Metropolitan Building is located in the heart of the Grand Center Arts & Entertainment District. This historical gem was vacant and unoccupied for years. It stood as an eyesore across from the St. Louis University Sculpture Park and was a serious distraction from the beautiful restored Fox Theater just across the street.

It now stands as a home for artists in Grand Center with 72 live/work lofts. The lofts are affordable rentals and the first floor is home to the resident artists Gallery and street front commercial space as well. As with other Dominium projects, the Metropolitan has several shared studios for the artist residents including a paint studio, dance studio and sound studio, to name a few.
